Biscuit porcelain has become a signature medium within Diptyque’s decorative pieces. Unglazed and high-fired, it reveals a matte surface with a velvety touch and mysterious depth. Its delicate nature demands rare expertise, as each relief and contour must be cast and finished with precision.

To shape this material, Diptyque partners with Manufacture de Couleuvre, a historic French porcelain house founded over 230 years ago. Renowned for its mastery of relief decoration and its vast archive of moulds, the historic porcelain house carries forward a time-honoured savoir-faire while continually reinventing its forms. Thanks to the hand-casting process, subtle imperfections resulting from the artisan’s touch are preserved, making each piece unique.
