1. What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store in your browser or on the hard drive of your computer if you agree. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your device’s hard drive. Cookies can be used to follow your activity on a website and across websites, and that information helps websites to understand your preferences and improve your website experience.

Our Site uses a variety of cookies which can be grouped into the following categories: strictly necessary, functional, analytical/performance, marketing/targeting cookies. This helps us to provide you with a good experience when you browse our Site; for example, it means that we can recognise your computer when you access the Site and log into your account with your user name and password. The use of cookies also allows us to improve our Site.

2. What cookies do we use?

We use the following categories of cookies:

  • Strictly necessary/essential cookies. These are cookies that are required for the operation of our Site. They include, for example, cookies that enable you to log into secure areas of our Site or use the shopping cart.
  • Analytical/performance cookies. They allow us to recognise and count the number of visitors and to see how visitors move around our Site when they are using it. This helps us to improve the way our Site works, for example, by ensuring that users are finding what they are looking for easily.
  • Functionality cookies. These are used to recognise you when you return to our Site. This enables us to personalise our content for you and remember your preferences.
  • Targeting cookies. These cookies record your visit to our Site, the pages you have visited and the links you have followed. We will use this information to make our Site more relevant to your interests. We may also share this information with third parties for this purpose.

Please see the Cookie consent management  on our home page for:

  • a full list of the names of the cookies and technologies we use;
  • the purposes we use them for;
  • the duration for which access to information is granted for; and
  • whether any other organisations store, process or access the information contained in the cookie or from your device included the purposes for which such third parties use them for.

3. Cookies preferences

When you visit the Site for the first time on each device you use, cookies may be placed on your device, subject to the preferences you have selected regarding cookies. Certain cookies do not require your prior consent; these cookies include "strictly necessary cookies", which are always placed as they are essential for the operation of the Site and the provision of our services.

You will be informed about the use of cookies via the information banner that appears when you first access the Site for each device you use.

Please note:

  • Only by clicking the “Accept all” button will you consent to the use of all categories of cookies.
  • If you choose not to adjust your settings but continue browsing on the Site, only strictly necessary cookies will be placed.
  • If you choose to “Decline all” cookies you may not be able to access some parts of our Site or our Site may not work the way you expect it to.

                                                                                                                                                           That being said, you may modify your cookie settings and opt out of non-strictly necessary cookies at any time by clicking on the link directing you to the Cookie consent management on our homepage (“Cookie Preferences”). Your preferences will take effect once you confirm your selection by activating or deactivating the relevant options and it does not affect the processing of your data prior to any withdrawal of consent.

Please be aware that unless you clear your browsing history and cache, some cookies previously stored on your device may remain active even after you update your settings.

Our Privacy Policy contains further information on our data processing practices, as well as details of your data protection rights.

4. Tracking pixels in our emails

Our emails may contain tracking pixels. A tracking pixel is a small invisible image inserted in an email. When you open the email, it sends information to us, such as whether and when the email was opened and the type of device used (computer, tablet, mobile phone).

These pixels relate to the email address you provided to us and operate on every
device on which you read our emails.

                                                                                                                                                             We use tracking pixels for the following purposes:

  • Measuring and personalising our communications (subject to your consent). We measure whether our emails are opened in order to assess the effectiveness of our communications, better understand your engagement, and adapt and personalise the content and frequency of the emails we send you. We only use pixels for this purpose if you have consented to it, for example by ticking the relevant box when you subscribed to our emails.
  • Deliverability (no consent required). We may record only the date on which you last opened our emails, in order to adapt the frequency of, or stop, emails sent to recipients who no longer open them. This applies to emails you have requested, such as order confirmations, or to which you have consented.

You can withdraw your consent to tracking pixels at any time by clicking on the dedicated link at the bottom of each of our emails, or by contacting us using the details below. Once you withdraw your consent, we will stop using tracking pixels subject to consent in the emails we send you. Please note that our marketing emails and the tracking pixels they contain are covered by the same consent, so withdrawing your consent to tracking pixels will also stop these marketing emails.  Our email service provider [Shopify] places these pixels on
our behalf and acts as our processor.
